How to request deletion
Two options:
- From the app: open the PotatoCharge app, go to Profile → Settings → Delete my account, then confirm. The request is recorded immediately.
- From this website (if you can no longer access the app): fill in the form below with the email address of the account to delete.
Data that is deleted
Once the request is processed, the following data is permanently deleted from our active systems:
- User profile (name, picture, preferences, settings)
- Registered vehicles and host-side configured stations
- Messages exchanged through the in-app chat
- Geolocation history (session start and end)
- End-of-session photos, except those attached to a transaction kept for accounting obligations
- Marketing preferences and newsletter subscriptions
Data we keep (legal obligations)
Some data must be kept beyond account deletion to meet our legal and tax obligations. It is no longer used to provide you a service, only archived:
- Invoices, transactions and payment data, 10 years (Belgian and French accounting obligations)
- Host KYC data (identity verification, supporting documents), 5 to 10 years after the end of the contractual relationship (AML, PSD2, DAC7)
- Technical logs and anti-fraud data, 13 months (legitimate security interest)
- Reviews published for completed sessions, 3 years after publication, anonymised within 30 days

Processing time
We process your request within a maximum of 30 days from receipt, in line with article 12 of the GDPR. You will receive a confirmation by email once finalised.
