These terms govern the use of the PotatoCharge platform. By creating an account, you agree to comply with them.
1. Purpose
PotatoCharge is a platform that connects individuals (hosts) who own a charger with electric vehicle drivers. The platform does not supply electricity itself: it facilitates booking, payment and communication between the two parties.
2. User account
Registration is free and restricted to adults. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for the confidentiality of your password.
3. Host obligations
As a host, you commit to:
- having the necessary authorisations to make your charger available (owner, co-ownership, lease)
- keeping your charger in working order
- honouring the published availability slots
- setting a fair and transparent price, shown to the driver before booking
4. Driver obligations
As a driver, you commit to:
- respecting the charger and the host's surroundings
- respecting booked slots and warning in case of delay
- providing a dashboard photo at the start and end of the session to justify consumption
5. Content you publish
You grant PotatoCharge a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence, for the legal term of protection, to use, reproduce, adapt and distribute the content you publish (charger photos, descriptions, reviews), solely to operate and promote the platform.
PotatoCharge reserves the right, with no obligation of prior review, to remove any content that is manifestly unlawful or contrary to these terms.
Under Article 16 of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (DSA), any user may report content, a chat message, a charger or a review, that they consider unlawful or abusive, by tapping the report icon shown next to that content. The form lets you pick a reason, unlawful content, harassment, scam, attempt to make contact outside the platform or other, and add an optional description.
Every report is timestamped, logged in our internal moderation system and notified to the moderation team at moderation@potatocharge.com. We review reports without undue delay and tell the reporter the outcome, removal, reasoned refusal or no action, within a reasonable time. No answer within 30 days counts as an unfavourable review; the reporter keeps their ordinary legal remedies.
6. Pricing and commission
The host freely sets their price per kWh. PotatoCharge adds a 20% service fee on top of the host's rate, paid by the driver, whatever the charger's mode. In manual mode, the host keeps 100% of the rate they set. When the charger is remotely operated in automatic mode (an OCPP-connected charger on which the driver starts the session without the host being present), a 10% commission on the rate is deducted from the host's earnings, in return for remote operation. The price paid by the driver is the same in both modes.
7. Liability
PotatoCharge acts as a technical intermediary. We make every effort to guarantee service availability but cannot be held liable for material damage caused by a defective charger, which falls under the host's responsibility and their insurance.
8. Account suspension
We reserve the right to suspend any account in the event of serious breach of these terms, fraud, or abusive behaviour toward other users, with prior notice except in case of emergency.
9. Nexxtender PIN code service
PotatoCharge sells this service itself and does not act as an intermediary. It calculates the six-digit factory PIN code of a Nexxtender Home or Nexxtender Mobile charger, from the PN and SN printed on its label. Other models, including the Nexxtender Advance, are excluded. PotatoCharge has no link with Powerdale. The customer declares that they own the charger or are authorised by its owner to configure it.
The price is EUR 19 including Belgian VAT at 21%, paid once by bank card, Bancontact or iDEAL | Wero through Stripe. The code is shown on screen as soon as payment is confirmed and is sent by email. It stays visible for 7 days on the order tracking page.
As the code is delivered immediately, the customer ticks a separate box when ordering, asking for immediate delivery and expressly waiving the 14-day right of withdrawal. PotatoCharge keeps the date, time, IP address and browser used as proof.
If the charger rejects the code, write to us with the order reference. In case of an input error, PotatoCharge corrects it from the photo of the label and sends the right code at no charge. If the error comes from PotatoCharge and cannot be corrected, the customer is fully refunded.
If, within 12 months of purchase, the customer lists their charger on the Platform and a first charge is paid there, the EUR 19 is refunded. This refund is granted once per charger, on request to hello@potatocharge.com.
PotatoCharge's liability for this service is limited to the price paid, except for gross or intentional misconduct and personal injury. Any claim is sent to hello@potatocharge.com, with the order reference. If the French and English versions differ, the French version prevails.
10. Applicable law
These terms are governed by Belgian law. In case of dispute, an amicable resolution will first be sought. Failing that, the courts of Brussels shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
